Harmonization, Mobilization, Integration
Welcome Molly Zimmer RMT to Balanced Therapeutics!
Molly's approach to massage therapy is holistic and integrative, with a focus on the nervous system, fascia, the breath, functional mobility, and mind-body connection. Molly empowers and educates her clients, inviting you to connect with your own innate capacity for health within. She believes in the power of therapeutic touch and relational modalities as a selfcare and a way to support lasting change.
Molly's treatments vary from person to person and depending on your individual needs that day can include myofascial release, swedish techniques, relaxation massage, cranial sacral therapy, facilitated movement, and breathwork.
Molly is a graduate of the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy (2019). She has completed further training in Cranial Sacral Therapy (Level 3 certification), myofascial release techniques, intra-oral TMJ treatment, trauma-informed Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitation and Soulful Somatic Coaching. Prior to beginning massage, she completed a diploma in Holistic Nutrition with the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. She brings an awareness to the interconnection between all systems when it comes to wellbeing.
Outside of the treatment room, Molly nurtures her deep connection to nature, creativity, movement, her own embodiment practices, travel, and continuing to learn and deepen her practice.
Molly also offers full treatments of Cranial Sacral, and intra-oral treatment for TMJ and jaw related issues.
She looks forward to connecting with you!

About me…..
I was raised in the kootenays and I continue to fall in love with this area every passing year. Family, friends and community connections have supported and shaped me into who I am. This is special and I am grateful for this upbringing.
Like most kootenay folks I gravitated towards outdoor activity and adventure in my youth. I get inspired to try new activities that move my body in different ways to achieve physical and mental health. Being in the mountains feeds my soul and standing amongst tall trees enlivens my spirit.
What to expect
For your initial treatment please complete the health history and consent online prior to your appointment time.
The treatment space is set up to create a relaxing and safe environment for clients to receive, express and let go of tension and pain. You can enjoy the comforts of a calming waiting room where you can begin your journey of deep relaxation until the time of your appointment.
My treatments are either specific to client complaints or for general relaxation and wellbeing. I use a combination of gentle myofascial release, craniosacral, visceral manipulation, and swedish massage techniques to facilitate client goals. It can feel deep or superficial depending on what level of tissue I am trying to affect.
Services
Visceral manipulation is a gentle specific mobilization of organs in the body. For an organ to be healthy and have optimal function it need to have mobility. All our organs are surrounded in fascia and they can get adhered to surrounding structures. This can show up as pain or decreased mobility in joints and muscles, because your body will always prioritize your organ function over your musculoskeletal function.

The heart of craniosacral practice is listening. It demands stillness, presence and humility of the practitioner. Craniosacral techniques work partly due to the system of membranous partitions inside the head which connects to the dura of the central nervous system which in turn can effect the whole body. It is an informative way to assess tissue prior to performing mobilization techniques, calm the nervous system and create subtle yet powerful change in the tissue dynamics.
